Scores of jobs at hi-tech firm Dataplex have been saved after the company was bought out of administration.

Communications and technology specialist Intrinsic Technology, based in Haydock, Merseyside, snapped up the Witney company for an undisclosed sum after it was taken into administration in November.

Bosses said the company’s 50 staff at Witney and its Manchester operations have been saved as a result.

Intrinsic managing director Mike Mason said: “Acquisitive growth is a key step in our growth strategy and Dataplex is an excellent fit. The collective skills of our employees will drive innovation and enhance value for our clients.”

Richard Sparrow, managing director of Dataplex, added: “Together we will become a stronger technology partner for our clients, delivering a much broader, more competitive portfolio of products and services.”

Dataplex is based at Deerpark House, on the Windrush Estate and moved there in 2009 from Long Hanborough.
