Windrush Frozen Foods, which last year moved to new premises in the Windrush business park, at Witney, has been put into administration, with the loss of 70 jobs. The company was taken over by managing director Robert Arpino with partners Alison Rushworth and Alan Savage in 1995.
At that time, it sold frozen foods, mainly to Oxford colleges and local pubs. The west Oxfordshire firm then became a supplier of Mediterranean-style foods to national restaurant chains, such as Ask and Bella Pasta.
