Dave MASSINGHAM

MASSINGHAM Dave Aged 58 years. Fought a brave fight. Passed away at his home surrounded by family. Loving husband, father, son, brother and grampy. He will be sadly missed. Funeral service to take place at South Oxfordshire Crematorium, OX13 5PA on Thursday 31st August 2017 at 12 midday. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, for Pancreatic Cancer UK which may be sent c/o The Co-operative Funeralcare, 26 High Street, Abingdon, Oxon. OX14 5AX. Tel: 01235 554589.

So sad the hear of Daves passing. I feel honoured to have known him and worked with him. A true gentleman.
I first worked with Dave as an apprentice at Lucy's. The photo shows us, apprentices, on the frozen Oxford canal outside the tool room. Dave is in the middle with the moustache and Parka, Will Drewett is poised ready to run because the ice was cracking!
I also remember good times socially when we were both first married.
Then we had many laughs at Oxford Instruments on the ULT section with Murph, Barry Hutch and Dave Barber. RIP chap.

I was saddened to hear of the Death of Massey. I remember when he and Buzz started working on Fridge Section with myself and Dave Barber back when we first moved into the building at Osney. Dave quickly became a valued member of the team. He will be sadly missed by us all. RIP Massey

So sad to hear this.
Dave was our best man in 1980 & although we've lost touch over the years we have always remembered him as a great guy and a good friend to many.
