GROVE have recruited from the USA and New Zealand as they target a top-four spot.

Fly half Jona Cali joins from Boston, USA and wing Brendan White from Stratford, New Zealand to boost the squad.

Grove, who visit Swindon in Saturday’s league opener, have also signed Chinnor pair, prop Tom Whelan and scrum half Danny Burns, plus back-row forward Jack Horrocks from Nottingham University.

Whelan will also assist head coach Craig Burrows in a coaching role, while White joins as part of a link-up with King Alfred’s Academy in Wantage, where the New Zealander is working.

Back-row forward Dave Wells has moved to Dallas, USA.
