A road was briefly blocked in Blackbird Leys after a woman was taken ill.

An ambulance and a rapid response team attended the scene in Balfour Road at about 1.45pm but blocked the road as a consequence.

Stagecoach bus service 1 was unable to serve stops along the road while the road was blocked.

The woman was rushed to the John Radcliffe hospital and the road was cleared by about 2pm.

...Elsewhere in Oxford a road was blocked briefly as a refuse collection lorry made it's way slowly down a side street and caused traffic to wait until the bin men had finished their work and the lorry could move on. Passers by said that the delay lasted for no more than a couple of minutes, although some drivers thought it was longer. Oxford Brooke's Town Planning experts have refused to comment.

I was stuck in this and I can assure you it was much longer than two minutes, closer to three.

but the traffic was hardly delayed, why was it reported in the paper when it was probably on a travel report on the radio, so it is totally irrelevant once the paper was printed. True OM reporting.
