Fair enough that speeders are caught but why can the Police not tackle other crimes with such enthusiasm and resources ?

Money. I'm wondering what the stretch of A44 is like where the 50MPH limit is. They impose a speed limit on the stretch of A34 that goes past Botley tower, but I'm damned if I can see why, as it just creates a bottleneck and entraps any drivers who are not local and used to the NATIONAL speed limit for an A road!

Oxford is a cesspit of left wing control - and it was all started by Tony Blair who wanted to use socialism to control the populace (look it up), but behind the scenes, he has been earning himself a lot of money - just like Oxford City Council.

So glad to have left the otherwise pretty city. Where I am now, there are NO speed or CCTV cameras or money grabbing councils. So much more relaxing, yet people still drive sensibly because the speed limits are the national ones and people know them by heart so stick to them.

Probably at Yarnton. They often sit in the layby near the petrol station.

The 50 limit at Botley was put in place to reduce the noise from the traffic that affected local residents. Nothing to do with safety at all.
