LOUISE TERRY, 30, of Almond Avenue, Kidlington, pleaded guilty to driving an Audi A5 on the A40 near Cassington while disqualified and driving it without insurance. The offences were committed on July 28. She was fined £250, banned from driving for six months and must pay £185 in costs and surcharge.

STEPHANIE WEST , 31, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to damaging a window belonging to St Mungo’s in Floyds Row, Oxford, behind the St Aldates police station. The offence was committed on May 28. She also accepted assaulting a man by beating him in Oxford on May 4. She was ordered to pay a total sum in compensation of £100.

HARLEY WEST, 31, of Dirac Place, Didcot, pleaded guilty to sending communications conveying an offensive message. Between March and October 2022, West sent a woman emails, texts, made calls and sent messages on WhatsApp, Snapchat and Facebook described by prosecutors as ‘grossly offensive’, in order to cause her distress or anxiety. He was given 10 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for a year and a half, with a mental health treatment programme and up to 41 rehabilitation activity requirement days. A restraining order bans West from contacting his victim or going to her address for two years. The defendant was ordered to pay £185 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £128 victim surcharge, which funds services that support victims of crime.

LINDA FORKNER, 58, of Vanner Road, Witney, pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers in West End, Witney, on July 29. She received a community order with a six month mental health treatment requirement and must pay £200 in compensation to one of the officers who was assaulted. She was ordered to pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

KENNETH HICKS, 34, of Bartholomew Road, Oxford, admitted drug driving a Ford Transit on St Luke’s Road, Oxford, on March 18. Blood tests taken after he was stopped showed he was over the limit for cannabis. Hicks was fined £576, banned from driving for a year, and must pay £215 in costs and surcharge.

GREGORY WATKINS, 46, of no fixed address, was found guilty of assaulting a police constable by beating him in Oxford on August 14. He was jailed for 16 weeks, with the magistrates citing the seriousness of the offences and the ‘nature and pattern’ of his previous convictions. He was ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

LILY MELIA, 19, of The Serpentine South, Liverpool, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Pear Tree Close, Milton under Wychwood, on March 21 without a valid licence or insurance, and while over the drug-drive limit for cannabis. She was fined £240, banned from driving for 14 months and was ordered to pay £181 in costs and surcharge.

DANIEL KNIGHT, 30, of St Leonards Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to breaching a direction given to him by the police under anti-social behaviour laws to leave the area outside St Johns College on St Giles on September 5 – the second day of the St Giles Fair. He was fined £107 and ordered to pay costs of £85.
