BRANDON SYKES, 26, of Sir Henry Jake Close, Banbury, pleaded guilty to damaging glass windows, cupboard doors and a microwave oven at Oxford Homeless Pathways in Cowley on January 17. The value of the damage was put at £1,071. He was ordered to pay that sum in compensation, fined £192 and must pay a further £85 in prosecution costs.

ANSAR MAHMOOD, 42, of Manor Court, Banbury, was found guilty of driving a Honda on Priory Vale Road, Banbury, while over the drink-drive limit. Breath tests showed Mahmood was more than two-and-a-half times the legal limit, blowing 95mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath on December 27 last year. The legal limit is 35. The district judge imposed a community order with 120 hours of unpaid work, a three year driving ban and ordered the driver to pay £414 in costs and surcharge.

JOANNA COOK, 47, of Benson Lane, Crowmarsh Gifford, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Fiat Punto in the village on September 2. Tests showed she had 65mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. She was fined £138, disqualified from driving for three years and must pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £55 victim surcharge.

FREDERICK BLUNT, 33, of The Leys, Chipping Norton, pleaded guilty to drink driving a MG4 on Fawler Road, Charlbury, on September 2. He was more than twice the limit, blowing 86mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was fined £830, banned from driving for 20 months and was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £332 victim surcharge.

VASILE NEACSU, 49, of Lyndhurst Road, Chesham, pleaded guilty to non-dwelling burglary. Prosecutors said he entered as a trespasser a new build house on a building site in Wallingford on September 3 and stole ‘new boxed Bosch cooking hobs and associated equipment of a value unknown’. The offence was committed while he was subject to a suspended sentence. The magistrates jailed him for a total of 20 weeks and ordered he pay the Crown Prosecution Service’s costs of £85.

MAREK TRAPP, 45, of Wise Avenue, Kidlington, admitted drink driving an Audi Q5 on Trinity Street, Oxford, on September 3. He had 41mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath when he was stopped and taken to the police station. He was fined £184, banned from driving for a year and was ordered to pay £159 in costs and surcharge.

CONOR FITZPATRICK, 31, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to theft of alcohol from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on August 11 and assault by beating of a man that day. The magistrates ordered him to pay a total of £150 in compensation.

DENISE KING, 35, of Moorpond Close, Bicester, pleaded guilty to stealing groceries from the Co-op in Oxford on April 2. The stolen goods were worth £104. She received a 12 month conditional discharge and must pay the prosecution costs of £85.

SEBASTIAN SPENCE, 41, of Hengest Gate, Harwell, admitted assaulting a paramedic at the junction of Wood Street and New Road in Wallingford on March 11, 2022. He was fined £120, must pay £200 in compensation and was also ordered to pay £119 in costs and surcharge.

OLIVER DUNN, 30, of Eastern House, Littlemore, pleaded guilty to using disorderly behaviour, common assault of a police sergeant, damaging a police vehicle and being in possession of cannabis. The offences were committed in Oxford on June 7 and 8. He received a community order with a mental health treatment requirement and was ordered to pay a £114 victim surcharge.
