Drivers rat-running through the city last night were stopped and fined by the police.
The Oxford neighbourhood team issued £50 fines to ten vehicles for breachng the 'No Vehicular Access' signs from Broad Street into Magdalen Street.
The police also enforced 18 cyclists for riding with no lights in the city after growing complaints from local people.
It is the third police operation clamping down on motorists taking short cuts in the city centre.
