Poppy picnic at Brockhole
A VE Day Poppy Picnic is to be held on Saturday, May 9 at Brockhole, the Lake District Visitors Centre, near Windermere, from 11am until 4pm.
The event has been organised to salute the generation that helped bring victory in the Second World War on May 8, 1945.
There will be an opportunity for those who still hold VE Day stories to share their memories.
