KARL Robinson is not daunted by Oxford United’s remaining fixtures as he prepares to start a season-defining month.

The U’s visit Sky Bet League One promotion rivals Plymouth Argyle tomorrow as they end the campaign with seven matches in 29 days.

United are fifth, five points behind the Pilgrims with a game in hand, so a win would harm a rival’s chances of reaching the play-offs as well as boosting their own.

With a trip to relegation-threatened Morecambe to come next Tuesday, followed by a home match against seventh-placed Sunderland four days later, there is a lot riding on the next eight days.

Robinson said: “I wouldn’t want it any other way.

"It’s why we do it, it’s much better than the games not meaning anything.

“If you look at our next few games, we play a team one place above us, a team fighting for survival and a team two places below us.

“Every one of our games is going to mean something to the teams that we’re playing.

“I think our run-in is one of the hardest, but those are the games we want to play.

“You don’t want to make it easy, you want it to be enjoyable.”

After the Sunderland fixture, United face another side battling at the bottom when they travel to Fleetwood Town on Good Friday.

That is followed by two games against teams gunning for automatic promotion, with third-placed MK Dons coming to the Kassam Stadium on Tuesday, April 19.

The U's then travel to League One leaders Rotherham United four days later.

United finish the season at home to Doncaster Rovers, who sit 23rd, on April 30.
