NATHAN Holland trains with Oxford United today after getting over the issue that forced him off at Queens Park Rangers.

The winger vomited during the interval of Tuesday’s Carabao Cup second-round tie and was sick again when he returned to the pitch.

Holland came off for Gavin Whyte before the restart, but Karl Robinson confirmed he is in a good place ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League One clash with Lincoln City.

The U’s head coach said: “Because we saw him vomit on the pitch we probably acted too soon.

“When you see players physically being sick you think do you leave them on, especially in the current climate with the way we’re told to deal with illnesses.

“We felt it was the best decision to bring him off. He's fine.”

Karl Robinson: Oxford United ready to act fast in transfer window

Robinson also suggested James Henry, Ryan Williams and Anthony Forde could be back for the visit of Lincoln.

The latter missed the defeat at QPR but played 90 minutes at Bolton Wanderers last weekend, while Henry and Williams sustained hamstring and groin injuries respectively against Crewe Alexandra nine days ago.

Robinson revealed on Tuesday he hoped to have the trio available again on Saturday and confirmed that was still the case.

“Everything we thought would happen has happened,” he said.

“Jamo’s scan was a good one for us.

“In these games he’s a pivotal player.

“He generally leads assists and he’s generally in the top three goalscorers each season.”
