OXFORD City have finalised their pre-season friendly schedule.

David Oldfield’s men will play seven fixtures before the Vanarama National League South campaign kicks-off on Saturday, August 14.

The only home game is the visit of Oxford United on Friday, July 16 (7pm), which will see fans return to Court Place Farm for the first time since December.

City have already announced their trip to Alvechurch on July 17, which will mark the 50th anniversary of the sides’ record-breaking FA Cup tie.

It took six attempts to separate the teams when they met in the fourth qualifying round in 1971, before the Worcestershire outfit eventually won the fifth replay 1-0.

Their friendly at Brackley Town on August 7 was also previously announced, but City have now confirmed a further four away fixtures.

Oldfield’s side visit Thame United on Saturday, July 10, with a trip to Haringey Borough – who they beat 4-2 in last season’s Buildbase FA Trophy fourth round – following a fortnight later.

They then face a short journey up the M40 to Banbury United on Tuesday, July 27, before travelling to Bracknell Town on August 3.
