More knitted tributes to the late Queen have topped postboxes in the county.

Wearing a matching pink skirt, jacket and candyfloss hat, Her Majesty could be seen in this crotched scene in Spring Road, Abingdon, standing next to a Corgi.

The letters RIP were marked in a sombre black over a grass-green woollen base.

In the Covered Market, Oxford, a black lace cap had been put over the knitted crown that adorned the Royal Mail post box in the centre of the historic market.

Last week, anonymous Abingdon-based knitter Yarnsy shared pictures of her own post box-topper in memory of the Queen. She knitted a crown and a flower wreath.

“We all knew this time would come and I had always planned on doing a memorial topper for the Queen but she caught us all off guard - somehow you always think you’ll have more time,” ‘Yarnsy’ said.

In Little Clarendon Street, the Duke of Cambridge bar replaced its swinging street sign with a picture of a smiling Elizabeth II.
