A CAR mechanic has died after an unwitnessed fall at his Abingdon home.
Geoffrey Myers, 82, died at the John Radcliffe Hospital on May 6 this year after experiencing an ‘unwitnessed’ fall at his home in Overmead, Abingdon.
The car mechanic fell on May 2 and was taken to the Headington hospital but suffered from a cardiac arrest a few days later.

His death was verified by a staff member at 9.30am.
At an inquest opening at Oxford Coroner’s Court on May 23, it was heard that his medical cause of death as been provided as rhabdomyolysis, fall and long lie, alcohol-related liver cirrhosis, heart failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
A full inquest will take place into his death on October 3.
