A man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in the town centre of Didcot.

Last week, police launched an appeal in their search for Waheed Amodu, aged 23 in connection to an incident at Market Place in Dicot at around 12.30pm on April 15.

On Tuesday (May 7), a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released with no further action, the police have confirmed.

The force has now removed their public appeal in connection to the incident.

“Thames Valley Police is no longer appealing for the public’s help to find a man wanted in connection with a robbery in Didcot”, the police said.

A police spokesperson added: “Thank you to those who shared our appeal.”
