An air ambulance landed in an Oxfordshire village after being called to a nearby incident.

Thames Valley Air Ambulance (TVAA) was called to Stanford in the Vale to provide "advanced critical care" at an incident.

The incident happened today (Thursday, April 11) at around 9am.

A TVVA spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that our helicopter was dispatched to provide advanced critical care at an incident in Stanford in the Vale today (Thursday, April 11).”

The air ambulance service was unable to provide any more information or give an update on the condition of those involved.

Stanford in the Vale is a village around 3.5 miles southeast of Faringdon and five miles northwest of Wantage.

The Oxford Mail has also approached Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service.
