A main road near a popular farm destination has been closed this week to install a new zebra crossing.

The A415 in Kingston Bagpuize has been closed to allow a zebra crossing to be put in place near the road adjacent to the redundant layby between Abingdon Road and Faringdon Road.

The road that leads to Millets Farm Centre closed yesterday (March 4) and work is expected to be completed tomorrow (March 6).

The closure, just south of the Co-op store in Witney Road, will stay in force for 24 hours a day but there is a limited access being maintained for emergency service vehicles.

The council has suggested an alternative route of the A420, A338, A415 and vice versa for motorists.
