LEWIS STAYTE, 33, of Brize Norton Road, Minster Lovell, pleaded guilty to damaging a ‘phone and lingerie’ belonging to a woman. The offences were committed in September 2022. He was ordered to pay £372 in compensation.

AKIL BUDINI, 41, of The Garth, Yarnton, admitted damaging a Peugeot van belonging to Bristow and Sutor on September 29 last year. He was fined £400 and ordered to pay £85 in costs.

TYRONE HOLMES-SMITH, 46, of Iffley Road, Oxford, was convicted of 12 counts of stealing alcohol from Tesco, totalling around £1,000. He was found guilty in his absence in July to six of the allegations, but admitted the remainder.  He was jailed for a total of seven weeks and was ordered to pay almost £1,029 in compensation and a further £239 in costs and surcharge.

THOMAS FAIRLEY, 50, of William Kimber Crescent, Oxford, was convicted of failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements by, on one occasion, failing to attend the police station to inform officers he had returned to the UK and, on another, failing to tell them he intended to travel to Ireland. He also had two category C indecent images of children. He received a 24 week jail sentence suspended for two years with up to 60 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He was ordered to pay £354 in costs and surcharge.

TINA MCDONAGH, 40, of Pegasus Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to 13 counts of shoplifting. She stole alcohol and chocolate worth hundreds of pounds from Tesco, and children’s clothing and a toy from Asda. With another, she stole meat worth £113 from Aldi. She was given a community order and was told to pay more than £1,900 in compensation.

DAVINDER CHAND, 55, of Harrowden Road, Bedford, pleaded guilty to driving a Honda CRV on the M40 Northbound near Bicester while banned from the roads. He was caught on June 10. He was fined £150, banned from driving for nine months and must pay £85 in prosecution costs.

DARREN GARNON, 38, of Hornton Drive, Banbury, admitted possession of cocaine and cannabis in Bicester in June. He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 in costs.

JOSHUA PREECE, 20, of Nene Road, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to drink driving a black Jaguar on the A34 at South Hinksey on September 1. Tests showed he was almost twice the legal drink-drive limit, blowing 64mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was fined £518, banned from driving for 17 months and was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £138 victim surcharge.

JAKE SMITH, 33, of Thames View Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to stealing a bank card, using it fraudulently, and shoplifting a razor from Asda in Templars Square. The offences were committed in August. He was jailed for a total of 22 weeks and was ordered to pay £50 compensation to the owner of the stolen bank card.
