A power cut has led to houses in Oxfordshire temporarily losing power.

An unplanned outage was reported to be affecting houses in Charlbury, Chipping Norton and Enstone.

The outage was first reported to Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks at 11.24am and the company has said engineers are already en-route.

Power is expected to be restored by 3.30pm and surrounding areas close by to Charlbury and Chipping Norton may also be affected.

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks has an online map, which allows householders to track the progress of engineers in sorting out the problem.

The current status for this unplanned outage is “awaiting update from engineers”.
