An Oxfordshire school is partly closed today due to staff sickness.

John Watson School have reported details on Oxfordshire County Council's website.

The school said on Friday January 20 Lemongrass class would be closed today due to staff absence.

John Watson School is a community special school in Wheatley.

It is the third school closure in the county this week.

Greyfriars Catholic School in Cowley of Oxford was also partially closed yesterday, Thursday January 19, due to staff sickness. 

A primary school in Abingdon closed for the morning on Wednesday (18/1) due to an unscheduled power cut.

Appleton Church of England Primary School had to shut as it had no power and no heating.

It followed a power cut across the area with 500 homes or 404 customers and 31 postcodes losing their supply.

And on Thursday (19/1) Greyfriars Catholic School in Cowley had to close from mid-morning for Year 8 and Year 9 students due to staff sickness.
