POLICE have charged a man with coercive behaviour and causing actual bodily harm.

Darren Smith, 51, of no fixed abode, was charged via postal requisition with one count each; section 18 of grievous bodily harm with intent, section 20 of wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour and causing actual bodily harm.

Smith was charged last week on Thursday, October 13 following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.

The charges relate to multiple incidents which happened between January 1, 2020 and December1 last year in Bicester and Middle Barton.

Smith is now due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court this week on Thursday (October 27).
