TEAM members from two Oxford hotels volunteered their time to clean up outdoor space for charity.

Staff from voco Oxford Thames and voco Oxford Spires helped Sobell House Hospice in Headington and Vale House care home tidy up their green space.

They were tasked with planting and tidying up flower beds and bushes and were joined by other team members from IHG, the hotel group behind the voco brand.

The effort is part of IHG’s ‘Giving for Good’ month which ran throughout September and sees team members from across the world give back to their local communities.

Wendy Procter, cluster general manager of both Oxford voco hotels, said: “Since its launch in 2018, Giving for Good month has seen IHG colleagues provide nearly 350,000 acts of kindness in our communities around the world.

“Now in its fifth year, Giving for Good month is a chance for us to use our global scale to collectively make a positive contribution, drive lasting change.

“We were delighted to be able to offer our time and resource to two very deserving charities in our community.”

Tim Wraith, corporate and community partnerships manager at Sobell House, added: “It was fantastic to welcome the voco team and other members from IHG to the hospice to help with our garden.
