THE Market Place in Wallingford will be closed next weekend for a public event.

Wallingford Town Council has organised a ‘housewarming and energy efficiency’ event which will take place in the Market Place and Town Hall on Saturday October 8.

The event will require St Martin’s and St Mary’s Street to be closed between 9.30am and 2.30pm.

Security will be servicing the diversions necessary during these times. The Market Place will be closed to all north and southbound traffic.

Thames Valley Police have ‘particularly stressed’ that it is important that all drivers who will be in the area at that time are notified of the closures and the diversions that have been put in place.
