Oxford to get huge pop-up Christmas shop

A poster placed in the window of the empty Topshop in Queen Street states that the shop, called Christmas Supermarket, will open soon.

Topshop closed in February 2021 when the brand was taken over by ASOS following the collapse of the Arcadia retail empire, since then the unit has been left empty.

The store will offer value Christmas goods including seasonal gift bags, wrapping paper, Christmas trees, crackers, cards and an assortment of decorations.

Last year, the Christmas shop even featured an entire wall of products dedicated to the mischievous Elf on the Shelf, including costumes and props.

There is no set opening date yet for Christmas Supermarket.
