Thames Valley Police officers visited a property and issued a warning to the occupant for ‘allowing’ drug activity to take place there.

Officers from Thame’s Neighbourhood Policing Team issued a Section 8 Misuse of Drugs Act Warning to the occupant of a property in the town.

This law concerns dictates that a person commits an offence if, being the occupier or manager of a premises, knowingly permits or suffers drug activity there.

This can include producing or attempting to produce a classified substance, supplying or attempting to supply a controlled drug to another person, preparing opium for smoking or smoking cannabis, cannabis resin or prepared opium.

The officers urged people to report such crimes to 101.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Prevention is better than cure.”
