A RING doorbell caught a man stealing several tools from a van in Oxfordshire in the middle of a day.

The incident took place at about 4.30pm on Monday (8) this week in Stadhampton. 

A blue Skoda Octavia can be seen pulling up alongside a work van parked outside the owner’s home in the village.

A man can be seen getting out of the passenger side door, opening the van door and transferring multiple tools from the van into the boot of the Skoda.

The van’s owner has reported the theft, which was caught on a Ring doorbell, to the police but the investigation has concluded without a suspect being identified.

In response to the owner, police said: “I’ve explored all reasonable lines of enquiry but have not been able to find enough evidence to bring a potential suspect to justice.”
