A MAN must pay almost £350 after being caught speeding nine miles per hour over the limit.

Trevor Rolls, 56, of Wasbrough Avenue, Wantage, was convicted of driving at 69mph in a 60mph zone on the M4 in South Gloucestershire, on November 21.

He was fined £220, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £90.

His driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Rolls’ case was heard at Bath Magistrates’ Court on June 22.

The minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and three penalty points being added to your licence.

Motorists can be disqualified from driving for building up 12 or more penalty points within a period of three years.
