A MAN has been told to cough up almost £200 after being caught speeding seven miles per hour over the limit.

Omar Chaudhry, 36, of Lewell Avenue, Oxford, admitted driving at 57mph in a 50mph zone on the A406 in New Southgate, North London, on November 14.

He was fined £40, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £100.

His driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Chadhry’s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.

His case was heard at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on June 21.

The minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and three penalty points being added to your licence.
