POLICE have arrested a man after a "traumatic" sex attack on Cowley Road in the early hours of this morning.
*UPDATE: A man has now been charged*
Earlier this evening, Thames Valley Police desperatley appealed for any witnesses or anyone who might have CCTV footage.
It happened as the victim walked home alone down Bartlemas Road.
She was approached by a stranger - holding a white pole - who offered to walk her home. She said no, and sat down beside a parked car on Cowley Road.
But he proceeded to sit next her and sexually assaulted her under her clothing.
Tonight, investigators have said a 29-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 43210509575 or make a report online using the same reference.
