Oxford Bus Company has extended its deadline for good causes to enter its Brand the Bus competition.

It has extended the time good causes have to enter by five weeks, taking the deadline to submit entries to November 7 at 23.59.

The public vote will now close on November 30 and the winners will be announced in mid-December.

The competition offers local good causes and charities the opportunity to have an Oxford Bus Company bus emblazoned with its branding. People can then vote for their favourite good cause to win the unique opportunity.

Phil Southall, Oxford Bus Company said: “We appreciate many good causes continue to manage numerous challenges as they continue to seek to bounce back from the pandemic. Therefore, we decided to extend the deadline to enter Brand the Bus to help give as many organisations as possible the opportunity to take part.

"Entries are continuing to come in and voting is increasing, so I’d encourage local good causes to enter this great opportunity to enhance their profile locally.”

Blue Skye Thinking was the latest good cause to have a double-decker emblazoned in its branding after winning the 2020 Brand the Bus competition.

And Abingdon Riding for the Disabled Association had a bus rear branded after coming second.

The 2021 competition has so far seen 11 entries from local charities and good causes, and more than 1613 votes have already been cast.
