OWNERS of missing pets are being targeted in a new RSPCA scam.
Advice has been issued to residents in an Oxford Neighbourhood Watch and Community Newsletter to prevent them from falling victim

"They then go on to request payment for emergency treatment. By all accounts, the caller sounds very genuine and plausible.
"Please do not disclose your bank details or make any payments - this is a scam. The RSPCA will never call you in this way. If in doubt, ask for a photo to be sent of your pet."
