THE scorching hot weather is about to come to an end as heavy rain and thunderstorms are set to hit Oxfordshire this weekend.
The Met Office has warned that the rain may lead to some disruption and flooding.

What to expect
- Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
- Flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes or hail
- Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services
- Power cuts might occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost
The forecast
Early heavy and thundery rain will gradually clear northwards during the morning tomorrow.
But there is the potential for severe thunderstorms to develop during the afternoon.

It will feel warm and humid.
It will become more changeable next week, with further heavy showers and thunderstorms likely throughout the period.
Temepratures will be cooler compared to recent days, heading back to average.
