Despite the easing of Covid-19 restrictions today on what has been dubbed 'Freedom Day', on-going international travel restrictions mean many places are still not on the green list and holidaymakers cannot visit them.

But who needs Spain when you have sunny Oxfordshire?

Weather reports from the regions show Ibiza, Alicante and Málaga are only 27°C today.

Further afield, party favourite Ayia Napa and Malta are only slightly chillier than Oxford at 29°C.

The heatwave is set to continue for the rest of the week, with Oxford seeing temperatures in the high 20’s before the weather takes a turn over the weekend.
