A MAN caught attempting to incite a 12-year-old child to engage in sexual activity has pleaded guilty at court.

Tamas Olasz appeared at Oxford Crown Court yesterday.

At that hearing the 49-year-old of Sandford Green, Banbury, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted incitement of a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

He had already admitted a string of other offences and the case was adjourned while a pre-sentence report is prepared by the National Probation Service.

Olasz will be sentenced for five counts of making indecent images of children, two counts of possessing a prohibited image of a child, one of possessing extreme pornography and one of possessing an indecent image of a child.

He will also be sentenced for another four counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

The string of offences all took place between June 2016 and June 2018 in the Banbury area.

The court heard that Olasz has no other previous convictions and the case will be heard again next month.

Adjourning the case for sentencing Recorder Peter Guest, presiding, said that 'all options are open' and added: "Some form of custody is a likely outcome."

Olasz will appear again at the same court on December 18.

He was released on bail to await that hearing.
