A MAN has avoided jail after he was caught with a machete in a quiet residential road.
Christopher Taylor, of Cotswold Terrace, Chipping Norton, admitted carrying the blade in the street where he lived on July 31.

The 32-year-old was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, and must pay a victim surcharge of £128 and court costs of £85.
Oxford Magistrates' Court also ordered for the machete to be forfeited and destroyed.
