A PLANNING application has been submitted for a new health campus, including a nursing home and children’s day nursery, in South Oxfordshire.
The campus will consist of a new health centre for the Rycote Practice and Unity Health doctors’ practices, a 75-bed nursing home, 51 assisted living units, and a day nursery for up to 110 children.
The proposal, opposite Chinnor Rugby Club in Thame, was made by Hallam Land Management and Montpelier Estates.

Thame town councillor Nigel Champken-Woods, said: “The Thame Neighbourhood Plan, as well as recommending the delivery of 775 new homes, equivalent to 2,000 new residents, also identifies the need for improvements in infrastructure, including healthcare provision, to support the town as a whole.
“Subject to consideration by councillors, this initiative from Hallam Land Management and Montpelier Estates looks like it could provide part of that much-needed additional infrastructure.”
The planning application can be viewed on the South Oxfordshire District Council website, using the application reference number P20/S2593/O.
