POLICE in Bicester have received so many Christmas gifts from residents for a donation scheme that they can not take many more.
The donations have been collected for a local women’s refuge at an undisclosed location.
A police spokesman tweeted: "Your donations, big and small will give comfort to women and children surviving domestic abuse.

"Due to an overwhelmingly generous response, unfortunately we have had to make the cut off date for donations Monday. If you still have new items which you’d like to donate, several churches do an annual gift collection, as do Bicester Food Bank."
