THE sound of shattering glass awoke a villager in the middle of the night as burglars stole a BMW.
Police say the victim of a car theft woke up at about 2.15am this morning, having heard glass smash at their home in Chinnor.
Burglars gained entry to the home by breaking a downstairs window.
Police said the theft happened in Emmington Way.
The thieves snatched car keys and stole the owner's black BMW M140i from outside.

A witness appeal issued by police on social media said: "They [the burglars] drove up the Thame Road and turned right towards Thame.
"A third offender was seen in a dark coloured Audi across the road and drove in convoy behind the stolen BMW."
The trio were all described as men wearing dark clothing, and one was 'heard talking in a foreign language which was not recognised.'
Police have urged anyone who might have seen the vehicle, or who has CCTV in the area, to call 101 quoting reference 43190271513.
