A 23-YEAR-OLD woman was sexually assaulted in the middle of the night whilst walking home from the pub.

Thames Valley Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened in Didcot on Sunday August 25, at around midnight.

The victim had left the Royal Oak pub in Park Road and was walking along Queensway when she was approached from behind by a man who touched her inappropriately.

The man, who is white and in his mid-thirties, then ran away from the scene.

He is described as about 5ft 11in tall and a skinny build. At the time, he was wearing a red T-shirt with two white stripes down the side.

Investigating officer, PC Rachael Snelling, based at Didcot police station, said: “This was a very distressing incident for the victim and I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed it, or who has any information relating to it."
