GYMNASTS, dancers and martial artists were among the performers that entertained crowds at an annual town fayre this weekend.

Didcot hosted its Summer Fayre on Saturday inviting the community to see hand-made crafts, enjoy fairground rides and bouncy castles as well as a host of music acts.

Beginning at midday at Edmonds Park the summer event also saw go-karting for children and a wide range of stalls selling refreshments.

There was also entertainment from Loreley Rice belly dancers and Irish dance with Maguire O'shea Academy of Irish Dance.

A 'fun dog show' was also at the event, which was only the second year it had taken place in the town.

From 6pm the fayre hosted live music including class rock n roll band Voodoo Penguins and four-piece Harwell band The Barnstormers, who headlined last year's inaugural event.

Eclectic blues and rock band The Shakedown Prophets closed the Fayre with their set which started at 10.15pm.

The Didcot Summer Fayre is expected to return again to the town for a third year running next summer.
