A bird killer is believed to be targeting geese in Port Meadow.
A sign has been put up in the park to warn walkers after the killer struck multiple geese, one of which was said to have been 'mutilated.'
It is thought that the 'puncture' wounds were inflicted by humans.

The warning reads: "In the last week several geese in Port Meadow have been killed by acts of human cruelty.

"Dead geese have been found with a single puncture wound and no sign of struggle.
"Two within metres of the Wolvercote picnic area.
"One animal was mutilated.
"This is a risk to the public and wildlife."
