A MAN and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of a racist attack on a pregnant woman and her husband.

A 26-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman from Bicester were questioned after the assault which left the young mum fearing for her unborn baby’s life.

The Muslim couple, who have asked not to be named, were walking with their three-year-old daughter in Lockheed Close, Banbury, on Sunday, November 18, when the attack happened.

The husband said they were crossing the road when the man and woman started shouting angry abuse at them.

Oxford Mail:

He said: "They called us 'F***ing Muslims' and spat on my wife and daughter."

He said the woman then started physically attacking him and his wife and tried to pull his wife's headscarf off, then pushed their young daughter.
