STAFF and officials have said a final goodbye to Selby Magistrates’ Court, which has closed its doors for the final time.
The courthouse, in New Street, heard its final cases last Thursday, and a special ceremony for employees and magistrates was held on Friday, with a visit from the deputy Lord Lieutenant and deputy Mayor of Selby.
The final speech of the two-hour event was given by magistrate Ian Franks, the longest serving magistrate in the Selby district.
