CELTIC will have to cope without Steven Pressley until November - but the Scotland defender insists the benefit of his back operation will make the wait worth it.

The 33-year-old had surgery at the end of August and has been ruled out of action for eight weeks.

Pressley said: "This is something I have needed done for a wee while, and it is great to just get it done and out of the way.

"The doctors and myself are very pleased with how the operation has gone and I am looking forward to getting back to full fitness as soon as possible."

Stephen McManus, Scott Brown and Paul Hartley are all guaranteed warmer than usual receptions for the Caley game at Parkhead tomorrow after playing their part in Scotland's win over France.

Inverness player-boss Craig Brewster has hailed the gallant efforts of the Hoops men, saying: "The Celtic players all did well and in a short space of time Scott Brown has become one of our top performers, which is excellent to see.

"Stephen McManus was once again very solid and he is playing with a real confidence just now."
