PARIS: A French court has dismissed a suit by Nobel Prize winner Elie

Wiesel's publishers alleging that Jacques Attali, President Francois

Mitterrand's former chief aide and disgraced former chairman of the

European Reconstruction and Development Bank, had plagiarised Wiesel's

work. The publishers said they would appeal against the ruling which

rejected the suit for F15m (#1.7m) in damages.
