CLYDE are to look for help from local companies in Cumbernauld to

enable them to switch to full-time football.

The club recently moved into a custom-built stadium in the new town

and yesterday manager Alex Smith said: ''Already we have four full-time

players, with six, who are unemployed, joining them shortly.

''But we aim to reverse the trend in football, where there are

part-timers who have full-time jobs in industry. We are contacting local

companies to see if they can provide our full-time players with

part-time jobs.''
