HONG KONG: A 12-year-old Hong Kong boy leapt 30 floors to his death
from a tower block, the 17th student to commit suicide this academic
year. Lee Chung-man's death on Monday prompted fresh calls for urgent
government action to end the wave of student suicides in the colony
since the school year began last September. Police said they did not
know why Lee jumped but suspected the disappearance of his parents last
year may have been a factor.
