* DUTCH striker Marco van Basten scored a hat trick to help his side,

Italian champions AC Milan, to an amazing 5-4 win at newly-promoted

Pescara yesterday.

Milan were 4-2 after the first 23 minutes, defenders Alessandro

Costacurta and Franco Baresi both scoring own goals. However, Van Basten

netted twice late in the opening half to send the sides in level at 4-4,

and he netted the winner 18 minutes from the end.

The result leaves Milan the only team with full points from their

first two matches.

Juventus defeated Atalanta 4-1 at home, while Napoli and Inter also

were successful, Napoli winning 4-2 at Foggia and Inter scoring a 3-1

home victory over Cagliari.
