MICHAEL O'NEILL, the former Northern Ireland internationalist, has been appointed as manager of Brechin City.
The ex-Dundee United and Hibs midfielder takes over from Ian Campbell, who paid the price for a season which is certain to finish with the Glebe Park club being relegated to division two of the Bell's League.
Current players Gary Bollan, Gerry Britton and David Hannah were linked with the position, along with St Johnstone coach Jim Weir.
